However, in 2021 November there is a new tournament for you if you were able to make it into the top 10 users of the diamond league.
This tournament runs for three-week competitions in which you will have to finish within the top 10. When you finish it within the top 10 users, you will earn a diamond each week. When you receive all three diamonds you win the tournaments. You must remember that these Duolingo leagues can not be taken on offline mode.
How does Duolingo decide what league to put you in?
Every week on Monday a random league is open. You can only join till it is filled by 30 users. However, if you are not able to complete the lessons you will not be able to participate in the league. Once the league is closed another league is started. If you were not able to join the first league, you can get into another league. Once you are in a league and come in the top 20 users then you will be in the next league which is silver. Similarly, you will be moving to other leagues and eventually to the diamond league and then the diamond tournament.
On the other hand, if you are not able to come under top rankers, and make it to the last 3-4 ranks you will move to the previous league. Thus you must practice a lot for maintaining a high position in the league. There are many people who also take advantage of Duolingo Plus for their practice. However, you must remember when you regularly take part in the leagues it helps you to get the streak score also. You will be getting VIP status and streak society (which gives you streak freeze) once you get 365 days.

You can only join the leaderboard or the league when you have completed a specific number of lessons. Thus there may be chances that you are not able to join the leaderboard. Duolingo leaderboard will help you to get the achievements.
What happens after finishing the diamond league in Duolingo?
As discussed above there is no league above the diamond league. So if you were able to complete it you will be staying in that league only. However, you may take part in a diamond tournament which will go on for a 3-week duration.
How to turn off the Duolingo league?
If you are bored with the league or are not interested in the league anymore, you can easily get out of it. All you need to do is to avoid going to that part of the app. If you want to restart it, you will need to go to the shield icon and see the option of continuing on it. By clicking on it, you will be able to again take part in the Duolingo league. It will help you not lose your league.
